Raffort 2024

Valentina Andrei is an independent winegrower based in Saillon, in the canton of Valais (Switzerland). She works on a small scale, cultivating steeply terraced vineyards with a deep respect for nature and a strong desire to preserve or rediscover indigenous grape varieties — or wines with true, authentic character.

Raffort is one of the estate’s confidential cuvées. Crafted through meticulous artisanal work, this wine reflects the mineral identity of the Valais hillsides. Little public information is available about it, reinforcing its rare and discreet nature. Like all of Valentina Andrei’s creations, Raffort bears the mark of a signature wine: precise, honest, and deeply rooted in its landscape.

Appearance: Brilliant robe with golden reflections and crystal-clear clarity. A luminous presence in the glass, reflecting youth and structure.

Nose: Expressive and refined bouquet: dominant notes of Williams pear, delicately enhanced by a subtle touch of vanilla. A complex aromatic profile combining freshness and depth.

Palate: Lively and energetic on the attack, with an elegant salinity. The palate is tense, pure, and persistent, with a crystalline texture. A perfect balance of Alpine freshness and controlled roundness.

Food Pairing: Excellent with roasted turbot and confit shallots. Also pairs beautifully with golden veal sweetbreads scented with tarragon. A great match for refined Japanese-inspired cuisine.

Serving Temperature: Serve at 12°C to fully express its aromatic potential.
