Le Pavillon Des Courtisanes - Cairanne 2023

Elegantly named Le Pavillon des Courtisanes, this cuvée will reveal as much poetry in your glass. Jean-Luc Colombo's red Cairanne has all the characteristics of a sunny wine from a Mediterranean terroir. Ripe red fruits and greedy spices will flatter your palate!

Eye: A dark purple colour.

Nose: Notes of stewed red fruit (ripe strawberries), while the granite hillside, planted with old Syrah vines and overlooking the village of Cairanne, enriches the aromatic bouquet with fresh spices such as liquorice and fresh Sichuan pepper.

Palate: Well-balanced, dense and well-crafted, this wine is also nervous. Typical with tight tannins, this is a deep, virile wine.

Food and wine pairings: A spicy dish will make a fabulous match with this Pavillon des Courtisanes, as will Mediterranean cuisine (lamb with thyme) or typically oriental dishes (tajine, couscous).
