Description
Ricasoli is one of Tuscany’s great historic estates, based at Castello di Brolio in the heart of Chianti Classico. Its history dates back to 1141 and is closely intertwined with the development of Tuscan viticulture. Today, the Ricasoli family continues this heritage by combining tradition, precision and a strong sense of terroir.
Castello di Brolio Vin Santo is a Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC made from Malvasia, Trebbiano and Sangiovese. In keeping with Tuscan tradition, the grapes are harvested late, once they have reached sufficient sugar concentration, then hung and left to partially dry for several months. The must obtained from gentle pressing ferments slowly before undergoing exceptionally long maturation in small oak casks.
