Nirvana 2023

Located in Satigny, at the heart of Geneva’s wine region, Jean-Michel Novelle – Le Grand Clos is one of Switzerland’s most respected wineries. The estate cultivates 17 grape varieties across 7 hectares, with a strong commitment to biodiversity, hand harvesting and extended ageing on fine lees.

Nirvana 2023 is a unique creation made from partially dried Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes. Crafted as a dry wine despite its exceptional natural concentration, it offers a contemporary interpretation of Geneva red wine, combining power, freshness and remarkable precision. The grape varieties are vinified separately and blended during the final creation of the cuvée. Aged on fine lees in stainless steel tanks without malolactic fermentation.

Appearance: Deep ruby-red colour with intense reflections.

Nose: Expressive aromas of blackberry, red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry and delicate peony notes.

Palate: Concentrated yet elegant texture with remarkable freshness. Velvety tannins support a generous structure leading to a long, fruity and persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Perfect with slow-cooked lamb, rib steak, bison fillet, duck breast with Apicius sauce, grilled peppers or aubergine caviar.
