Fusion Fruits Noirs 2023

Based in Satigny, in the heart of Geneva’s wine region, Jean-Michel Novelle is regarded as one of Switzerland’s most innovative winemakers. Through his Novelle – Le Grand Clos estate, he creates highly original wines focused on blending, aromatic expression and precision. Working with more than 17 grape varieties, he continuously pushes the boundaries of Swiss winemaking.

Fusion Fruits Noirs  is an original blend of Gamay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinified in stainless steel tanks without malolactic fermentation, each grape variety is vinified separately before the final blend. This approach preserves freshness, fruit purity and ageing potential.

Appearance: Deep violet-black colour with brilliant reflections.

Nose: Expressive aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry and dark chocolate. With aeration, the wine develops additional complexity and aromatic depth.

Palate: Fresh, elegant and remarkably harmonious. Fine, compact tannins provide structure while maintaining a juicy and approachable character. The finish is long, balanced and persistent.

Food Pairing: Excellent with spiced beef cheeks, duck breast with blueberries, roasted pigeon, lasagna, chorizo, stuffed peppers and shepherd’s pie.
