Description
There must have been vines planted here for a long time. More than 2,000 years ago, the Gauls selected and propagated the Pinot Noir grape in this location. A temple dedicated to Pomona, the Celtic goddess, may be at the origin of the name.
Tasting
Appearance: Deep ruby red with garnet reflections, dense and bright.
Nose: Intense and complex aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant), with spicy notes, forest floor hints, and light oak.
Palate: Structured and full-bodied entry with good concentration. Tannins are present, fine, and elegant, typical of Pommard. Well-balanced with good tension. Long, persistent finish with fruity and spicy notes.
Food Pairing: Ideal with red meats, game, rich dishes, or aged cheeses.
Serving Temperature: Serve between 16 and 18°C.
