Description
Founded in 1808 in Tain-l’Hermitage, M. CHAPOUTIER is one of the emblematic family-owned estates of the Rhône Valley. Under Michel Chapoutier, now joined by Mathilde and Maxime, the House places terroir and respect for nature at the heart of its philosophy. A pioneer of biodynamic viticulture since 1991, M. CHAPOUTIER seeks above all to reveal the identity of each terroir with precision, guided by its family motto “Fac et Spera” – Do and Hope.
Monier de la Sizeranne is an Hermitage red made exclusively from Syrah. It brings together several of the celebrated terroirs of the Hermitage hill, including Les Bessards, Le Méal and Les Greffieux. This mosaic combines sedimentary soils – alluvium, loess and puddingstone – with granite in varying stages of decomposition, producing a wine of depth, elegance and complexity. The wine is certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter

Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled beef flank steak, pepper cream and roasted sweet potatoes, as well as red meats and game.
