Le Crocine 2024

Le Crocine is a boutique winery located in the hills of Bolgheri, in the heart of Tuscany's Upper Maremma. Founded by Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi and his wife Joy Green, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the hills of Castagneto Carducci. Maritime influences, diverse soils and sustainable viticulture allow the winery to produce elegant wines where Bordeaux grape varieties meet the Mediterranean character of Tuscany.

Le Crocine is the estate's signature Toscana IGT, crafted primarily from Cabernet Franc, complemented by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It perfectly reflects the Bolgheri terroir, combining the finesse of Cabernet Franc with the richness of Merlot and the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes come from carefully selected vineyards around Castagneto Carducci, where marine soils and the nearby sea provide freshness, balance and complexity. Elegant, refined and remarkably drinkable, the wine also offers excellent ageing potential.

Appearance: Deep, brilliant ruby red.

Nose: Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry and violet, complemented by graphite, cedar, sweet spices and balsamic notes.

Palate: Rich and velvety with silky tannins and vibrant freshness. Ripe black fruit leads to a long, elegant finish with mineral and spicy nuances.

Food Pairing: Perfect with rib of beef, veal, roast lamb, porcini pasta, truffle dishes, game and mature cheeses.
