Cuvée Eva - Le Crocine 2023

Le Crocine is a boutique winery located on the hills of Bolgheri, in the heart of Tuscany's Upper Maremma. Founded by Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi and his wife Joy Green, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the hills of Castagneto Carducci. Organic farming, diverse soils and strong maritime influence allow the estate to produce wines combining Bordeaux-inspired elegance with the Mediterranean character of Tuscany.

Cuvée Eva is the estate's flagship wine, produced almost exclusively from Cabernet Franc. Dedicated to Eva Green, Joy Green's twin sister, it showcases the remarkable finesse of Cabernet Franc grown in Bolgheri. Low yields, meticulous winemaking and approximately twelve months of ageing in French oak barrels give the wine depth, elegance and outstanding ageing potential. Powerful yet refined, it perfectly balances concentration, freshness and sophistication.

Appearance: Deep ruby red with garnet highlights.

Nose: Complex aromas of ripe red berries, blackcurrant, violet, sweet spices, balsamic notes and subtle oak.

Palate: Rich and enveloping with silky tannins and remarkable freshness. Cabernet Franc delivers precision, balance and a long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing: Excellent with rib of beef, beef tenderloin, roast lamb, game, truffle dishes and mature cheeses.
