Sul Vulcano 2023

Founded in the 1980s, Donnafugata has been instrumental in promoting Sicilian indigenous grapes. It now cultivates 322 ha across four estates, including approximately 35 ha on Etna’s northern slopes at 730–750 m elevation.

The Sul Vulcano Rosato 2024 is crafted entirely from Nerello Mascalese grown on volcanic sandy soils. This expression captures Etna’s freshness, delicate florality, and distinctive minerality.

Appearance: Pale and bright tender pink .
Nose: Delicate floral notes (jasmine, wisteria), pink grapefruit, wild berries .
Palate: Fresh, light entry; savoury and mineral with a lingering finish .
Food Pairings: Ideal with shellfish, sashimi, white meats, vegetarian or mildly spiced Asian cuisine .
