El Niño Joven, Tempranillo 2023

Located in Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, Bodegas Campillo belongs to the family-owned Faustino Group. Established under the vision of Julio Faustino Martínez, the estate is distinguished by its remarkable architecture, inaugurated in 1990, and its 50 hectares of surrounding vineyards. At the foot of the Sierra Cantabria mountains, Campillo combines winemaking tradition with modern techniques to produce elegant, fruit-driven wines that express the character of Rioja.

El Niño Joven Tempranillo is a Rioja red wine made from Tempranillo, the region's emblematic grape variety. Despite its youthful, fruit-forward character, it undergoes at least four months of ageing in American oak barrels, adding roundness and complexity. Approachable and generous, the wine combines fresh red and dark fruit aromas with delicate oak nuances.

Appearance: Intense, bright purple colour with ruby highlights.

Nose: Expressive aromas of red and dark fruits, complemented by delicate oak and subtle spice notes.

Palate: Fresh and balanced, with a rounded texture, supple tannins and vibrant fruit flavours. The finish is elegant and harmonious.

Food Pairing: Grilled meats, roasted potatoes, pasta, rice dishes, fish in sauce or semi-hard cheeses.
