Merle Blanc 2023

Le Merle Blanc de Château Clarke is the flagship white wine of Château Clarke, an estate owned by the Rothschild family and located in Listrac-Médoc on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Although the estate is primarily known for its prestigious red wines, it also produces one of Bordeaux’s most acclaimed white wines. Created in the 1980s under the guidance of Baron Edmond de Rothschild, Le Merle Blanc is crafted with the same level of precision and excellence as the estate’s top wines. This cuvée is renowned for its aromatic purity, elegance and impressive ageing potential. Combining richness, freshness and precision, it perfectly reflects the estate’s expertise and the excellence of Bordeaux white wines.

Appearance: Bright pale yellow color with golden and silvery reflections, clear and luminous.

Nose: Complex bouquet of citrus fruits, white peach, exotic fruits, white flowers and delicate smoky and vanilla notes.

Palate: Broad and precise attack with vibrant minerality supported by a generous and silky texture. Long, fresh and elegantly oaked finish.

Food Pairing: Ideal with lobster, scallops, premium fish dishes, creamy poultry preparations or aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 10 and 12°C.
