Description
Maison Joseph Drouhin, founded in Beaune in 1880, is one of Burgundy's great family-owned wine houses. For four generations, the Drouhin family has crafted wines with the ambition of expressing the remarkable diversity of Burgundy's terroirs with precision, elegance and authenticity. With a portfolio spanning more than 90 appellations, Joseph Drouhin offers a genuine journey through Burgundy, from regional appellations to the most prestigious Premier and Grand Crus.
The Maison has been awarded the Grappe d'Or by Gault&Millau, recognising the quality of its work and its place among Burgundy's leading producers.
The Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru is crafted from several Premier Cru vineyards, blended to express the full nobility of this legendary Côte de Nuits appellation. North of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée is widely regarded as the jewel of Burgundy and is home to some of the world's most iconic vineyards, including Romanée-Conti and Richebourg. Its chalky marl soils, blessed with excellent natural drainage, allow Pinot Noir to develop exceptional complexity, silky texture and outstanding elegance.
