The Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru Clos Sorbè comes from a distinctive terroir in the heart of the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, where the vines have the unusual characteristic of growing among the village houses. Set on a very gentle east-facing slope, Clos Sorbè takes its name from the service trees that once grew here, prized for their fruit, flowers and quality timber. The soils, combining clay-limestone marl with white stones derived from the limestone bedrock, produce a deep and distinguished Pinot Noir that combines generosity, finesse and a velvety texture.

Appearance : Beautiful cherry-red robe, vivid, clear, and bright.

Nose : Powerful aromas of red fruits, supported by notes of exotic wood.

Palate : Deep and velvety wine, both generous and refined, with supple tannins free of harshness.

Food Pairing : Ideal with roasted duck with morello cherries, rabbit stew, or a platter of matured cheeses.

Serving Temperature : Recommended 16 °C.

Ageing Potential : 25 years.
