Description
Maison Joseph Drouhin, founded in Beaune in 1880, is one of Burgundy's great family-owned wine houses. For four generations, the Drouhin family has crafted wines with the ambition of expressing the remarkable diversity of Burgundy's terroirs with precision, elegance and authenticity. With a portfolio spanning more than 90 appellations, Joseph Drouhin offers a genuine journey through Burgundy, from regional appellations to the most prestigious Premier and Grand Crus.
The Maison has been awarded the Grappe d'Or by Gault&Millau, recognising the quality of its work and its position among Burgundy's leading producers.
The Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir comes from one of Chablis' seven Grand Cru vineyards and is regarded as one of the appellation's most prestigious sites. Its spectacular amphitheatre-shaped hillside is unique in Burgundy. The vineyard enjoys a rare double exposure: due south on the northern side and south-west on the southern section, ensuring slow and even ripening. The name derives from the historic "Chemin des Vaudésirs", which divides the vineyard.

Tasting
Appearance: Brilliant pale yellow with delicate green highlights.
Nose: Fresh aromas of white flowers and citrus fruit, complemented by delicate coriander spice.
Palate: Elegant and beautifully balanced, combining richness with vibrant freshness. The Grand Cru's impressive breadth is enhanced by saline mineral notes from the Kimmeridgian limestone, leading to an exceptionally long and complex finish.
Food Pairing: Outstanding with oysters, lobster, langoustines, scallops, turbot, Dover sole or refined seafood dishes.
