Description

Fifty years. A half-century after the legendary 1961 vintage, this year's wine stood out for its extremely low yields, the result of hail, and, in June, extreme heat. The concentrated result was both beautiful and unexpected, which should herald excellent aging potential.

Spontaneity. That sudden desire to indulge without delay, Château Palmer wished to gratify. Thus, while remaining true to its philosophy, another expression of its terroir came to be. Since the 1998 vintage, a new approach to selection and blending has yielded this supple and rounded wine, distinguished by its freshness of fruit, crisp intensity and richness...from the moment out of barrel, it's all that's natural, bottled.

Tasting

In this 2021 vintage, the predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a subtle, aromatic expression of the appellation, with fine finesse and rare persistence.
