Château Clinet 2021

Discreet but well-established, Château Clinet, recognisable by its red shutters and pretty matching rosebushes, rests on the heights of the famous plateau in the heart of Pomerol.

The property is attached to one of the oldest vineyards in the appellation, dating back to 1595, but also one of the most renowned, known for the incomparable character and quality of its wines.

Appearance: deep purple colour with violet highlights, dense and intense — characteristic of a well-structured great Pomerol.

Nose: rich and expressive aromatic bouquet combining ripe dark fruits (plum, blackberry, blackcurrant) with delicate floral nuances (violet), accented by oriental spices, aromatic herbs, and subtly integrated oak.

Palate: generous and juicy attack, with a smooth texture and silky tannins. The wine shows depth and balance, supported by fresh acidity and a harmonious structure, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by dark fruit and refined spice notes.

Food Pairing: ideal with grilled or roasted red meats, sauced game, rack of lamb, or mushroom-rich dishes.

Serving Temperature: ideally served between 16 and 18 °C.
