A blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cão sourced from various regions of the Douro, around a third of the wine has been aged in used 500L oak which gently supports rather than dominates the wine. Bright strawberry, raspberry and blueberry gives the wine immediate appeal, while plush tannins and fresh acidity provide balance and finesse. Winemaker Ana Rola along with her best friend Helga Rodrigues, an architect from Douro, and José Serpa Pimentel set off in search of unique vineyards with the ultimate goal of creating wines with individual personalities. ROLA Douro Tinto is the fruit of a vineyard that is as diverse in grape varieties as it is in its soil types.

This creates a wine, which is very concentrated on the nose and in the mouth reveals red fruit. The tannins are present, and bring to the wine an incredible structure.
