Ripe al Convento - Castelgiocondo 2018

On the highest hills of the CastelGiocondo estate, where wines were already produced in 1800, a place has been found that offers a wine capable of arousing extraordinary emotions.

The altitude of 450 metres, the exposure to the hot afternoon sun, the galestro soils and the salubrious Mediterranean winds give this wine a unique and unforgettable personality with each Lamberto Frescobaldi vintage.
 

Eye: A brilliant, intense ruby-red colour with garnet highlights. 

Nose: Intense and elegant, the nose gives off fruity notes (blueberry, cherry, macerated black cherry) as well as floral touches. As the tasting progresses, the aromatic bouquet reveals tertiary aromas (tobacco, tea leaf, roasted coffee beans and leather) which evolve towards a subtle spicy touch (nutmeg, black and white pepper).

Palate: The palate captivates with its velvety, well-integrated tannic structure, its remarkable balance between alcohol and acidity, and its long, lingering finish.
