Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons was founded through the partnership of two renowned wine families: the Rupert family of South Africa and the Rothschild family of France. Established in 1997 in the prestigious Franschhoek Valley, the estate has become one of South Africa’s benchmark producers.

The Classique is the flagship wine of the estate and perfectly reflects its philosophy: Bordeaux elegance combined with South African terroir expression. Crafted from a Bordeaux-style blend, it delivers remarkable balance between aromatic richness, freshness and finesse. Enjoyable in its youth while offering excellent ageing potential, it has become one of the estate’s signature wines.

Appearance: Deep ruby color with garnet reflections, bright and intense.

Nose: Elegant aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry and plum, complemented by cedar, blond tobacco, cocoa and delicate spice notes.

Palate: Broad and harmonious attack with fine, silky tannins. Beautiful fruit concentration balanced by refreshing acidity. Long, elegant and persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Perfect with beef tenderloin, roasted lamb, grilled meats, gourmet cuisine or mature cheeses.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 16 and 18°C.
