Vinha Rumilã - Grande Reserva 2019

A new Douro steeped in history.

Vinha Rumilã comes from a small, century-old plot of the same name at Quinta de São Luiz. The estate features whitewashed walls—walls that support vineyards, stories, and the wisdom of many generations. The very limited production from these old vines, over 100 years old, combined with 2 years of aging in wood and 2 years in the bottle, along with the winemaker’s careful curation, results in a unique, expressive, and highly complex profile. 

A limited edition of 1,252 bottles, each presented in an elegant individual wooden case.

Appearance: A deep ruby color.

Nose: It captivates with a bouquet characterized by elegance, complexity, and notes of wild berries enveloped in floral and spicy hints.

On the palate: It is expressive and elegant, with silky tannins, acidity that lends it precision, and a mineral character. A memorable Grande Réserve that unfolds into a marvelous finish.

Food and wine pairings: Ideal with rich, textured dishes such as kid goat and game. It also pairs very well with cheeses.
