Château Pipeau - Grand Cru 2022

Château Pipeau has belonged to the Mestreguilhem family for four generations, and is located in Saint-Laurent des Combes. The family also owns Château Joinin.

Starting with seven hectares in 1929, the Château Pipeau vineyard now has 25 hectares of vines, at the foot of the slope of the famous village of Saint-Emilion (clay-limestone and deep sand). In order to reduce its impact on the environment, Château Pipeau is committed to a reasoned approach, harvesting by hand and making wine in the traditional way, respecting the fruit aromas.

Appearance: Deep red with violet reflections, dense and bright.

Nose: Expressive and attractive aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), black cherry, with notes of vanilla, sweet spices, and light oak.

Palate: Full and generous entry with good roundness. Soft, well-integrated tannins typical of Merlot. Balanced structure between fruit and freshness. 

Food Pairing: Ideal with red meats, duck breast, rich sauces, or aged cheeses.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 16 and 18°C.
