Akarua The Siren - Pinot Noir 2022

Founded in 1996 in Bannockburn, in the heart of Central Otago, Akarua is recognized as one of New Zealand’s benchmark Pinot Noir producers. The estate benefits from a unique continental climate characterized by sunny days, cool nights and a long growing season that promotes aromatic complexity and concentration.

The Siren Pinot Noir 2022 is the estate’s flagship prestige cuvée, produced only in the finest vintages from a meticulous selection of the best vineyard parcels. Its name refers to the mythical sirens, symbolizing attraction and elegance, much like the wine itself. This cuvée showcases the depth, refinement and sophistication that have made Central Otago Pinot Noir internationally renowned.
 

Appearance: Deep ruby color with garnet reflections, bright and elegant.

Nose: Complex bouquet of black cherry, ripe raspberry, red plum and wild strawberry, complemented by floral notes, sweet spices, forest floor, truffle and delicate toasted nuances.

Palate: Silky and precise attack with a velvety texture supported by fine, perfectly integrated tannins. Excellent concentration of red and dark fruits balanced by freshness and depth. Long, elegant and persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Ideal with duck breast, pigeon, roasted lamb, wild mushrooms, gourmet cuisine or mature cheeses.

Serving Temperature: Serve between 15 and 17°C.
