Velhotes White

Velhotes White Porto is a white port wine produced by the house Cálem, one of the most historic and renowned port wine merchants in the Douro region, Portugal. 

Part of the “Velhotes” range, this wine embodies a friendly, aromatic and easy‑drinking style — a fortified white port intended to be enjoyed young or lightly chilled

Appearance: Pale straw / light yellow colour, clear and bright. 

Nose: Rich and fragrant bouquet — floral aromas and tropical fruit notes (ripe white fruit, soft citrus), with occasional hints of honey or dried fruit depending on perception. 

Palate: Smooth entry, soft‑sweet yet with body; balanced, with a fruity, elegant finish and pleasant freshness. 

Food Pairing: Great as an aperitif; goes well with fresh or dried fruits, cakes, fruit‑based desserts, or cheeses — especially blue cheeses or salty cheeses to contrast with the sweetness. 

Serving Temperature: Ideally between 8 °C and 12 °C to balance sweetness, freshness and to highlight aromas.
